Jonathan Gabriel, D.O.

Jon Gabriel grew up in Allentown, PA and took a heavily STEM-based curriculum in high school as well as playing baseball, hockey, and golf.  These experiences lead him to pursue biomedical engineering as an undergraduate at The College of New Jersey.  He then went on to complete his Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering at Rowan University.  His thesis involved developing a novel histological technology for analyzing up to 96 multicellular tumor spheroids in parallel for genetic and drug-design applications resulting in a publication in Nature.  His grandfather and father are both DOs, which lead him to pursue a medical degree at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.  He then went on to complete two years in orthopedic surgery training before realizing that Radiation Oncology was a much better match for his career, intellectual, personal, and family aspirations.  He is extremely excited to be a part of the University of Arizona Radiation Oncology family, who welcomed him with open arms.
