Dr. Xu received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at Virginia Tech in 2005. He received his M.S. in Medical Physics at Wayne State University in 2008 and completed his medical physics residency in Radiation Oncology Department at University of Arizona in 2010. Dr. Xu served as a staff Medical Physicist in a private cancer hospital in Phoenix metro area till December 2016. He obtained the American Board of Radiology (ABR) certification in Therapeutic Radiologic Physics in 2012. Dr. Xu’s professional interests are focus on continually improving treatment quality of external beam and high dose rate (HDR) brachytherapy. He is also interested in implementing 3D printing to facilitate complex radiation treatments.
