Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer with Brain Metastases

Protocol: M10 – 897

A Randomized, Double-Blind, Phase 2, Dose-Ranging Study to Evaluate the Safety and Efficacy of Veliparib and Whole Brain Radiation Therapy Versus Placebo and Whole Brain Radiation Therapy in Subjects with Brain Metastases from Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer.

The purpose of the study is to assess the safety of veliparib when it is given together with WBRT (whole brain radiation therapy). This study will also try to determine if subjects benefit more with veliparib and WBRT compared to placebo (a pill that looks like the real medication but has no active ingredients) and WBRT. This will include comparing the side effects and the effectiveness of the treatment.
